Period: October 28 (Wed) – 30 (Fri), 2009 Venue：East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai, China “Science and Technology of Crop Protection, Consumer’s Health and Environmental Safety” http://59.78.98.45/cjk/cjkwps.htm The 1st China-Japan-Korea Workshop on Pesticide Science will be held at the East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai , October 28 – 30, 2009. The workshop is sponsored by Chinese Society of Pesticide Science, Pesticide Science Society of Japan and Korean Society of Pesticide Science in China, Japan and Korea, respectively. The workshop aims to bring together scientists who study pesticide science in the three countries, at where research on pesticide science are most actively on going, in order to present achievements of science and technology, and to exchange opinion about pesticides. A special attention is in focus on subject accompanying in the three countries, i.e., pesticide discovery and development, formulation, residue analysis, resistance problem, safety to consumer and to the environments, risk communication, and safety of the traded agricultural products. The workshop will include keynote speech, 4 plenary lectures, 18 session lectures and poster presentations. Of the poster presentations, 27 will be selected for oral presentation. The objective of the workshop is to discuss and exchange opinion without formality on the subject on pesticide science in the region of China, Japan and Korea. Therefore, content of the session lectures and poster presentation is not necessary to be on completely novel facts and data. It will be acceptable that the lecture and presentation will contain partially repeated contents with previous presentation at local meetings, Pan Pacifica Conference, IUPAC Conference and etc.. Registration fee is $200. On site registration fee is $250. Student is $100 (any time). Accompany person is $ 50 (any time). The registration fee includes the fee for welcome banquets, lunch and dinner, but not crab diner. Call for Posters Application for poster abstracts is available via workshop website. For all poster abstracts whom payment of the registration fee is confirmed on September 15, the corresponding poster abstract will be published in the Poster Abstract Book. Of the poster presentations, maximum 27 will be selected for oral presentation. All the posters should be applied onto the 3 different categories listed in the session lecture. Four excellent posters (one gold, one silver and 2 coppers) in each of the three different categories will be selected by the Poster Award.
