All About Me / I am Poem Please fill in the blanks with the required text per line. This becomes your rough draft. Please staple 5 more sheets of notebook paper to this for the remaining rough drafts.

Poetry Poker Shuffle cards and deal 6 per person at your table. One of the cards may be discarded. If you want to trade one of your cards you may, but you must keep 5 cards. Create a poem incorporating your 5 words.

What images do the words bring to mind? What themes could you possibly write about?

In your reader’s notebook, make a list of as many of your fears as you can think of. We will use this list to create a poem, so the more the merrier.
