SUPERHERO – PART 1

2. God created us to be SUPERHEROES Daniel 11:32 - …but the people who know their God will be strong and carry out great exploits.

a. SUPER

Acts 1:8 – But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit Luke 10:19 – Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy…   Acts 1:8 – But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses… Colossians 1:11 – We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power...  2 Timothy 1:7 – For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. Ephesians 6:10 – A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

b. HELP those in need

Romans 15:1-2 - Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, “How can I help?”   Psalm 110:3 - Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power…

c. ENCOURAGE people

1 Thessalonians 5:11 - So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

d. REACH out to others

Luke 10:27 - Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.”

e. OPPORTUNITIES are divine appointments

Galatians 6:9-10 - So let’s not get tired of doing what is good Galatians 6:9-10 - So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. 10 Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone - especially to those in the family of faith.   Ephesians 5:16 - Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
