The State of the Nation Report: Report Finalization

Finalizing the State of the Nation Report HALL MARK FEATURES : The Report details must be comprehensive( factual, detailed and current). The Report must outline how measures taken and progress made meet international obligations arising from Instruments that Kenya is a signatory to. The Report must capture the plans for the next implementation year. The Report must set a standard of excellence. .

Finalizing the State of the Nation Report ON MEASURES TAKEN: Provide the details (Quantitative) Policy and legislative measures - Provide details on all adopted national frameworks, laws, policies and strategies for the implementation of each national value and principle of governance under your mandate. Administrative actions – Include structural changes and reforms within your mandate area for the purposes of giving effect to national values and principles of governance within your mandate.  Programmes and Budgets - Identify every programme implemented to realise each national value or principle of governance area within your mandate complete with details of accompanying budgets). .

Finalizing the State of the Nation Report ON PROGRESS MADE: Answer the following Questions Where are we coming from? – Identify the baselines used to show progress and evaluation on each reported issue. Where are we ? – Impact (Qualitative information/data) Provide statistical data on every national value and principle of governance reported on (preferably and where possible disaggregated by age, gender, ethnic origin, County and other relevant status, on an annual comparative basis over the past year). Outline actual impact arising from implementation of the various programmes. Outline the framework for monitoring and evaluation with respect to the content of the report.

Finalizing the State of the Nation Report ON CHALLENGES – What were the circumstances within which we have implemented our programme? Outline the context within which implementation has progressed complete with challenges faced. ON PLANS AND PROJECTIONS- Where are we going? Clearly outline the future plans and vision with respect to the National values and Principles of governance within your mandate for the coming year. The section should contain a few critical policy statements that set the tone for the coming year.
