How do we promote the Guernsey Breed in the UK? Agricultural Shows Website Social media Herd owners develop and sell Guernsey products GGBP Actively look to export animals Promote the breed for use in cross breeding Agri shows, major & minor some int’l All Breeds & calf shows Web presence essential, advertise available bulls etc Social media, facebook twitter Herd owners very proactive & innotive – Young Bull scheme still going strong DG actively seeking out export opportunities Tpromotion of breed in nat press

Winning at Championship level raises the breed profile Agricultural shows are still popular in the UK and provide an excellent opportunity to show the modern guernsey cow to the public & other breeders.

Sponsorship Engaging the next generation in showing has been challenging but rewarding with national sponsorship from a leading feed company proving popular. We are constantly looking for new sponsors to help promote the breed. We have used sponsorship from a national feed company to promote the calf classes at shows across the UK in an effort to encourage the future generation
