What is Discus? South Carolina’s virtual library An online library, available 24 hours a day/7 days a week—at school and home! Free access to electronic subscription library resources For all South Carolinians

Why should I use Discus? Information accessed through Discus is produced by reputable publishers Discus contains reliable content Information is updated regularly Information is age-appropriate

When can I use Discus? Discus can be used for all types of research projects and papers. Through Discus, students and teachers can access: Historic documents Government reports Website links Photos, illustrations Charts, graphs, flags Articles Maps Video, audio Career tools Primary sources Educator resources

Which classes can utilize Discus? Discus is a great free resource to use with any subject at any grade level. Arts & Literature Biography Business Current Events, Issues Education Facts & General Reference Geography Health & Medical History Job & Career Science & Technology Social Studies

How do I access Discus? Login in to scdiscus.org Search directly from the homepage or by selecting a link from the list of resources Using Discus from school does not require a username and password. Using Discus from home requires a username and password, which you can obtain from the school librarian. It’s that easy!
