Pay Statuses Active Statuses Active Duty (AD Annual Training (AT) Special Training (ST) Formal Schools (FST) Active Guard/Reserve (AGR) Statutory Tour Active Duty for Operational Support (ADOS) Military Personnel Appropriation Duty (MPA) Mobilization Two types of pay statuses for guard members Active/Inactive

Pay Statuses Active Statuses Duty Type i.e. (AT) provides you information regarding the type duty to be performed. Basic Pay is same regardless of Active Status Entitled to Special or Incentive Pay Dependent on AFSC, type duty & duty location Entitled to Allowances Determined by tour length, dependents, duty location Leave Accrued On orders over 30 days On Annual Training you should be accomplishing your individual/unit readiness training.

Pay Statuses Inactive Statuses Unit Training Assemblies UTA – scheduled drill RUTA – drill make up SUTA – scheduled second drill Proficiency Training (PT) Training Period Preparation Assembly (TPPA) Only for traditional guard members Additional Flying Training Periods (AFTP) RUTA – has to be approved in advance and accomplished within the fiscal year of the missed drill TPPA – instructor may want to explain this is not authorized for technicians

Pay Statuses Inactive Statuses Paid at a base pay rate of one day per period UTA/AFTP Maximum Two periods per day PT/TPPA Maximum one period per day Duty type limits number of periods that can be accomplished within fiscal year No Allowances No Leave On Annual Training you should be accomplishing your individual/unit readiness training.

Allowances Allowances Basic Allowance for Subsistence (BAS) All officers: $ 253.63 a month Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) Designed to help offset the cost of housing Based On: Grade Dependency Status Geographic Location Other Allowances Uniform and Equipment Family Separation Allowance (FSA)

Deductions Taxes Servicemen’s Group Life Insurance (SGLI) Advance Pay Casual and Partial Payments Other Deductions Family Dental Insurance Plan Court Martial Fines and Forfeitures Child Support/Alimony Thrift Savings Plan (TSP)
