Day 2 of Solving Polynomial Equations (factoring/quadratic formula) & Find Polynomials Given Roots (multiplying) Thursday, March 2, 2017 Friday September 30, 2016

REVIEW… Solving Polynomial Equations To solve polynomial equations… Look at the graph/table to see if you can identify a root. If you can, use synthetic division, then continue to find roots. Factor if you can. Use the Quadratic Formula when needed. Some equations can be prime.

Review… Factoring Completely Remember, GCF first always. Check for your Special Cases. Sometimes you may have to factor more than once. Sometimes it will be Prime.

Review… Find Polynomials Given Roots To find a polynomial given its roots, you simply multiply the factors. Remember, if the root is -3, the factor is (x+3).
