0-4/0-5 Operations with Fractions Goals: Add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions.

Adding and Subtracting Fractions Two methods: Get a common denominator and add or subtract numerators. Example: 1 2 + 2 3 Use a calculator. Example: 3 5 + 7 9

IMPORTANT!!! Things to remember when using a calculator: Fractions should ALWAYS be in parenthesis Mixed numbers are put in as an addition problem To get a fraction for an answer press: MATH >FRAC
