What s Bluetooth Bluetooth a proprietary open wireless technology standard for exchanging data over short distances, creating personal area (PANs) with high levels of security. Created by telecoms vendor Ericsson in 1994. They named it after a Danish king, whose nickname was Bluetooth because he brought the danish tribes together. It can connect several devices, overcoming problems of synchronization

B S I G  managed by the Bluetooth special interest group, which has more than 16,000 member companies in the areas of telecommunication, computing, networking, and consumer electronics. Bluetooth's founding members include Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Nokia and Toshiba.

Bluetooth uses

Advantage and disadvantage of Bluetooth Advantages Wireless connection, which make connecting easier. Better and faster than infrared (IR), in terms of connection. Easy and secured to access into other devices. Disadvantages Short distance to connect with. It uses the same frequency as the Wavelan standard. Bluetooth uses the battery power of a particular device in order to operate.
