RETURNING STUDENTS Accommodation Options 2010 – 2011 Live in a University Hall of Residence / The Forge UStudent Village / All Saints Limited Room Availability – Apply NOW at: www.sunderland.ac.uk/residentialservices and select the Apply Online option from the menu bar at the left of the page. Apply before MONDAY 15 FEBRUARY 2010 for priority consideration Note: only one offer of accommodation will be made and will need to be accepted and the required booking fee paid before the expiry date (or the offer will be declined). Students who have applied before 15 February will be advised of the outcome of their application by Friday 26 February 2010. Any applications received after this date (or any offers declined for non payment of booking fee) will be placed on to a waiting list for later allocation (w/c 14 June 2010) and will be dependent on bed availability at that time. Returning students may apply to remain in the same hall but we cannot guarantee this will be in the same room/flat. The following criteria will be used to assess all applications: no money outstanding to the University good tenant status. If you currently do not live with us postcode restrictions will apply. Note: The University operates a No Smoking Policy. Where can You Live 2010/11 Rent Prices Live in the Private Rented Sector (PRS) University accredited houses will be advertised on www.studentpad.co.uk/sunderland from week commencing 8 March 2010. Students are encouraged to visit the ‘Living Out’ pages for more information on living in the private sector see http://services.sunderland.ac.uk/facilities/residentialservices/livingout/ We strongly advise students view properties and seek advice from Student Union Welfare with regard contractual arrangements before entering into any tenancy agreement. We also recommend that only properties/landlords registered with the City of Sunderland Accreditation Scheme are considered.
