Entry-level Jobs A job position for beginners in the field Requires little to no further education Au Pair Babysitting- Generally an occasional job that includes watching and caring for children for a short period of time Camp Counselor Nanny Puppeteer Storyteller Teacher Assistant (child care)

Associate’s Degree (2 Year) Careers A two-year degree usually from a technical school or community college Nurse – LPN Teacher assistant (public school) Paramedic Wildlife educator Dental hygienist Sonographer- Perform ultrasounds to check the prenatal development of fetuses Child care teacher

4-Year Degree Careers A four-year degree in a field of study usually from a university or college Activities director Animator Child care consultant Special education teacher Toy designer Pediatric nurse Teacher Librarian Nurse – RN Nurse/Midwife Dietitian Social worker Parent educator

Activities director- in charge of creating activities for children at certain locations like summer camp or day care. Special education teacher- Work with children who have difficulties in learning Dietitian- Plans meals for children in different settings. Can also help when there are special dietary needs

Graduate Degree and Above Careers A degree above the four-year degree usually for advancement and higher pay---e.g., master’s and doctoral degrees Child psychologist and psychiatrist Ophthalmologist Optometrist Family court judge Pediatric dentist Genetic counselor Physical therapist Speech language pathologist Pediatricians Play therapist Child development researcher OB/GYN
