Focus on curriculum development in the spring semester Stage 1 - Proposal Development Dates Responsibility Action 1. For Course Proposals: Develop Justification Develop Full Syllabus Template Develop Course Purpose and set of Course Learning Outcomes to be consistent across all times the course is taught Specify if additional aspects of syllabus template also remain consistent Ensure course purpose, course learning outcomes and assignments align C. Submit revised Curriculum Map Academic Unit Leader Academic Unit Faculty Proposer 2. For Plan Proposals (if applicable): Develop Justification Revise Program Purpose, Learning Outcomes, and/or Curriculum Map, as appropriate to the proposal Ensure the justification clearly describes how the plan’s course requirements lead to the achievement of the degree program’s purpose and learning outcomes Submit courses that accompany Plan changes Focus on curriculum development in the spring semester FLG: Department/ school curriculum processes EC: PL, Yavapai, and YCC curriculum processes CAEP Administrator(s) 3. Conduct internal academic unit process for approving curriculum proposals 4. Submit plan proposal form and/or course proposal form and syllabus to Curriculum Associate/ Manager Proposer

Review Period: 2 weeks in length Stage 3 – College Review Timeframe Responsibility Action Curriculum Associate/ Manager 1. Finalize agenda for CACC or ECCC Associate Deans/ AVP for EC 2. Sends to CACC or ECCC for review 3. Prior to meeting: reviews curriculum proposal using the reviewer’s form CCAC or ECCC CCAC or ECCC, Proposer or Representative, Curriculum Associate/ Manager , Advising Coordinators Associate Deans/ AVP for EC 4. At meeting: discusses proposal Review Period: 2 weeks in length No revisions Revisions requested: Return to Step 2 CCAC or ECCC 5. Vote for approval for the Academic Catalog Associate Deans/ AVP for EC 6. Sign-off for approval to place in Catalog 7. Delivers approved proposals to Academic Catalog process Curriculum Associate/ Manager
