NTTS 2017 SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE Administrative and registry data - Statistical office of Montenegro The Statistical Office of Montenegro (MONSTAT) is an independent administration body MONSTAT is main coordinator of the statistical system of Montenegro, main holder and disseminator of statistical data, as well as responsible professional body, organizer and coordinator of official statistics system, and it shall represent the official statistics of Montenegro in the international statistical system. Mission - The task of official statistics is to provide quantitative and representative information on economic, demographic, social and environmental issues in Montenegro to all users in accordance with the internationally defined methodology and highest professional standards. Data for national purposes and international dissemination should be provided at minimum costs. Vision - Our vision is for the Statistical Office of Montenegro to be recognized as an institution providing internationally comparable, reliable and timely data in accordance with user needs on national and international level. www.monstat.org

NTTS 2017 SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE Administrative and registry data - Statistical office of Montenegro Legal framework The statistical system of Montenegro is regulated by the Law on Official Statistics and the Official Statistics System of Montenegro (Official Gazette of Montenegro 18/12). The Law is fully aligned with the Regulation (EC) No 223/2009. Strategic secondary legislation acts are: Strategy for Development of Official Statistics 2014 - 2018; Programme of Official Statistics 2014 - 2018; Annual Plan of Official Statistics for 2017; Calendar of publishing statistical data 2017; ICT Strategy (Strategy for Information and Communications Technologies) ; Dissemination strategy; 25 internal acts which regulate the internal organization, communication and management of statistical processes. www.monstat.org

NTTS 2017 SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE Statistical office of Montenegro Rulebook on Internal Organization and Job Descriptions of the MONSTAT contains description of 200 civil servant and state employee; Current situation: Total number of employers': 105 Sex: 71% woman's, 29% mans; Average age: 43 years old. Educational structure: PhD 1% Masters of science 12% High education 62% Other 25% The average work experience is 18 years, which represent a great loyalty to the institution.

NTTS 2017 SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE The access to administrative data MONSTAT for purpose of carrying out official statistics activities, shall have right to access all administrative data sources, also including identifiers, and data collected through continuous monitoring and observation method, unless statistical use of those data is prohibited in accordance with the law.
