D.C. State Conference & Regional Summit 2017 (2 Conferences, 1 Price) The annual Full Gospel D.C. State Conference will be held on Thursday, March 9th at 7:30pm, where our State leader, Bishop Lanier C. Twyman, will preach. Then come back the next evening for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Summit on Friday, March 10th where service begins at 7:30pm. The Summit concludes on Saturday, March 11th, with a workshop from 9am to 1pm. Both conferences will be held at St. Stephens Baptist Church (5757 Temple Hills Rd. Temple Hills, MD 20748).  Registration is $20 for adults and $10 for youth ages 5-17. (Cost covers both events.) Please see a member of the Administrative team to register today!

Black History Month Sarah E. Goode was born into slavery in 1855. Ms. Goode was the first African-American woman to receive a patent by the U.S. Patent and trademark office for her invention of the folding cabinet bed in July 14, 1885. The folding bed is similar to a Murphy bed. She invented this because working class customers lived in small apartments, and didn’t have much room for furniture. The folding cabinet bed could be a roll top desk, complete with compartments for stationery and other writing supplies.
