Judah Generation is invited to attend the Youth Intercessory Prayer Service, hosted by Senior Pastor Pastor Doris Presley, at the Spirit of the Lord FGBC on this Saturday, February 11th at 9:30am.
Bro. Liron Frieson will be praying! All youth and intercessors are welcome and encouraged to attend.

12. D.C. State Conference & Regional Summit 2017
(2 Conferences, 1 Price)
The annual Full Gospel D.C. State Conference will be held on Thursday, March 9th at 7:30pm, where our State leader, Bishop Lanier C. Twyman, will preach.
Then come back the next evening for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Summit on Friday, March 10th where service begins at 7:30pm. The Summit concludes on Saturday, March 11th, with a workshop from 9am to 1pm. Both conferences will be held at St. Stephens Baptist Church (5757 Temple Hills Rd. Temple Hills, MD 20748). 
Registration is $20 for adults and $10 for youth ages 5-17.
(Cost covers both events.)

13. Black History Month
Elijah McCoy was born in 1844 in Colchester, Ontario, Canada to parents who fled slavery. At a early age, McCoy showed a strong interest in mechanics. When he was 15, his parents arranged for him to travel to Scotland for an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering. He returned to the United States after becoming a certified mechanical engineer. Despite his qualifications, McCoy was unable to find work due to racial barriers. However, McCoy went on to invent the lubricating cup that distributed oil evenly over an engine’s moving parts. He has nearly 60 patents over the course of his life. While the lubrication system was his main invention, he also developed designs for an ironing board, lawn sprinklers and other machines. Towards the end of McCoy’s life, he formed the Elijah McCoy Manufacturing Company.
