Learner Expectation Content Standard: 3.0 Geography enables the students to see, understand and appreciate the web of relationships between people, places, and environments. Students will use the knowledge, skills, and understanding of concepts within the six essential elements of geography: world in spatial terms, places and regions, physical systems, human systems, environment and society, and the uses of geography. Learning Expectations: 3.01 Understand how to use maps, globes, and other geographic representations, tools, and technologies to acquire, process and report information from a spatial perspective.

In this activity you will: Identify and name the seven continents Identify and name the four oceans Complete a writing activity using the vocabulary terms and listing the continents and oceans

The Continents About one third of the earth is made up of land areas. The large land areas are called continents. There are seven continents.

The Seven Continents The seven continents are Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Europe, Australia, and Antarctica.

Oceans About two thirds of the earth is covered by water. Oceans are the largest areas of water on the earth. There are four oceans.
