Work closely with me throughout. Consider applying for more than one award. Try to represent your real self as best you can, then relax. Be honest about who you are and don’t worry about what you think you should be or what you are not. All programs get far more qualified applicants than they can give grants to, Arbitrariness to the selection process. Not a reflection on you or your merit.
