Read more Volunteer heroes honoured: At the end of May over 300 dedicated volunteers were thanked for their valuable contribution to the community, at an annual celebration event held by the Trust. Trust Fire Safety checks following the Grenfell Tower Fire: Significant causes of the Grenfell Tower fire are understood to include a combination of the following: The installation of plastic-filled cladding to the tower block’s high-rise facades. Insufficient fire breaks between sections of the cladding such that in the event of fire, flame spread is contained close to the origin of the fire. Whilst Estates & Facilities is confident none of the Trust’s properties present such risks, a review of all of the Trust’s property, owned and leased, is being carried out to identify any such risks, which will be addressed immediately in the event of identification. External Media Report - May 2017 The majority of coverage this month came from the nursing celebration event across online and print media; it also received coverage on BCB radio. Other coverage came from the volunteers event and dementia awareness week. The Trust received continued coverage online for its Romanian delegation visit. Twitter followers continue to increase. We saw a 22% increase in Facebook ‘likes’ and higher visitors to the website, primarily generated by proactive social media activity for the nursing celebrating event, this month. In May the Trust achieved positive/neutral coverage for the following proactive media activity: Nursing celebration event - Wharfedale Observer, Telegraph and Argus, Keighley News, Craven Herald, Ilkley Gazette and BCB radio with Rebecca Bentley. Developed at Bradford District Care Foundation Trust, the template supports healthcare professionals to identify patients with conditions including high blood pressure, diabetes and cardiovascular problems.  An independent health economics evaluation has shown potential cost savings in the Yorkshire and Humber region alone are estimated to be £11.3 million over the next 10 years through use of the template.
