Free childcare places for two year olds Camden Council is offering eligible two year olds free early education and childcare places for up to 15 hours per week (up to 570 hours per year). You may be entitled to free part-time childcare for your two year old. Is my child eligible for a free place? Your child may be eligible if: they are two years old you can apply from when your child is 18 months old your family meets the criteria for free school meals (see: camden.gov.uk/fsm) or your family receives working tax credits and your household income is less than £16,190 they are being looked after by the local authority they have left care through special guardianship or an adoption or residence order they have a current statement of special educational needs (SEN) or an education, health and care plan they receive the disability living allowance they receive support from the National Asylum Support Service (NASS) through part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act.
