Area & Population * Egypt is large country. It has a total area of 997,000 km. sq. And it is the second largest populous country of the African continent. * The population of Egypt on January 1st 2011 is approximately 77 millions.

Egypt Location & Borders Egypt is located in Africa. Mediterranean Sea – north. Israel and the Red Sea – east. Sudan – south. Libya – west.The most important feature in Egypt is the Nile River.

Capital city: Ta tu Kim .. I got a massage from someone who saw the thief in capital city of Egypt. Cairo is the capital of Egypt and the largest city in the Arab world and Africa, and the 16th largest metropolitan area in the world. It’s located near the Nile delta .

*Language: Hello Aboor .. I call you because I spoke with Egyptian people by Coptic language, but no one understand me. Coptic is the Egyptian language written with the Greek letters in addition with six to eight additional letters that represent sounds. With the Islamic conquest Arabic became the official language of Egypt. So you have use Arabic language.

Religion: The religion of the population of Egypt is mainly Islamic. 90% of the population are Muslims. Christianity is also practiced by some people. 9% of them are Coptic. 1% consists of other Christians.

Government: They have a special government, but the conditions are tense now. The Republic of Egypt is a member of the UN, OPEC, and the Arab League.

Climate & Weather Egypt It has only two sesons. A mild winter from November to April. And a hot summer from May to October. There is no rain in winter.

Industries Hi Kim.. I have some information maybe it`s important for you. 30% of GDP in 2001. Major industrial products include (clothing, food processing, oil, cement and metals). The clothing sector is the largest industrial employer.

Products Kim .. I have new information maybe you need it. Egypt has one of the most developed and diversified economies in the Middle East. 1- Agriculture (cotton, corn, sugarcane, fruit and vegetables, and rice)

2-Other products are home appliances. 3- Tourism Services represent 40% of national production.

Egyptian currency is pounds. Take this money and buy anything you want.

*Egyptian cuisine: Hello Kim! I have sign indicate to King Tut mask in Egyptian restaurant. You can also eat their food. The most famous food they have are {Grape Leaves – Okra – Falafel - Stuffed Chicken}.
