Debate Topic Anne: In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.

Part I- Pros Vs. Cons (Written) 1. Identify and write down 5 pieces of textual evidence that would be for people being good at heart. 2. Identify and write down 5 pieces of textual evidence that would be against people being good at heart. 3. Make sure the textual evidence has been correctly copied, punctuated, and documented from the text.

Part II – Personal Belief Essay (Pros vs. Cons – written) 1. Create one opinion for and one opinion against the debate topic. 2. Write a short (two paragraphs minimum) essay explaining your opinion. 3. Use the text to prove your opinion. 4. This can be used in the debate.
