Events: Book Domino Run Design a book domino run in the teen area, or the entire library. Use discarded or withdrawn books. Have the teens help with set up and clean up. Record it! Can be part of a larger event (teen lock-in). Reading By Design | Summer 2017 November 3, 2016

Events: Fractured Fairy Tale Theatre Encourage advisory groups to rework a fairy tale into a new and exciting modern story. The teens develop a script. Programs: Living Robots Easy to get materials, cardboard boxes, markers, etc.. Be sure to start prep early to gather materials. Divide them into groups and have the teams decorate the boxes to look like robot parts. “dress” a team member as a robot. Programs: Zine Workshop What is a zine? Great way to get experience in design and bookmaking. Show off creative writing skills and interests.
