Home the Mill Homing occurs when a spindle or cross slide is moved to a known fixed position on a machine. Homing commands perform two functions Check against specified coordinates for calibration loss Provide quick machine setup when part location does not vary

Practice Goto Position Attempt only use after you have set the home and zero position in the earlier step Select Setup and then Set/Check Home Right click Jog Control Goto position above stock corner in sequence of X0 and then Y0 and then Z.25 © 2013 Project Lead The Way, Inc.

Verify the Program Select the Verify icon to verify the program accuracy Answer the prompt to Insert Tool 1 by pressing F5 The result will be displayed in the Verify window © 2013 Project Lead The Way, Inc.

Observe and Optimize Program Optimize the program until the results are accurate Save the program frequently © 2013 Project Lead The Way, Inc.

Prepare to Simulate the Program Select Window and then Run and Edit Screen to arrange the windows similar to the image below © 2013 Project Lead The Way, Inc.

Simulate the Program Use the Operator Panel to start and control the program Verify settings and then select Run Program Answer the prompt to Insert Tool 1 by pressing F5 © 2013 Project Lead The Way, Inc.

To Simulate Program Again Use Jog Control to safely move tool to safe position Reset 3D Image: Select Reset Workpiece icon The Verify image automatically resets © 2013 Project Lead The Way, Inc.
