Different Types of Reusable Bags Different Types of

Reusable bags are made from natural and synthetic fabric, films or fibers. They are also stronger and more durable than disposable or single use bags.

Reusable plastic bags are of three basic types. They are, Reusable Fabric Bags Reusable Paper Bags Reusable Plastic Bags

Reusable plastic bags come in a wide range of choices and can be recycled. Plastic reusable bags are made from different polymers like Recycled PET – fabric made from recycled PET bottles, Polypropylene or PP, Nylon – synthetic polymer, Polyethylene – LDPE & HDPE, and HDPE with prodegradant additives.

Reusable Paper Bags Paper bags are degradable, can be recycled and are made from a renewable source. Though these bags can be reused, they are not as strong or durable as the other bags.

Fabric bags are strong, waterproof, easy to clean, can be printed on and come with many choices in their size and design. Reusable Fabric Bags

They are made using a range of natural and synthetic fabrics like, Calico, Hemp, Canvas, and Jute. Reusable Fabric Bags

Calico Bags Calico is a cotton fiber that is not processed or bleached and is used to make a strong, cheap and durable bag. These bags shrink when washed in warm or hot water.

Hemp Bags Hemp is stronger than cotton and is used in many textile applications. Hemp bags are rot resistant, can be machine washed, and mixed with other fibers to get a texture like linen.

Canvas Bags Cotton and canvas bags are the most common natural fiber bags. They can be made from raw, organic or recycled cotton. This soft fabric is degradable and can be machine washed in cold water.

Jute Bags Strong, coarse jute threads are woven to form a hardy fabric. This fabric is then made into bags that are strong, hardy and relatively cheap. Jute can also be mixed with other fibers to improve its properties.
