Tyler Reynolds THROWAWAY SOCIETY

WHAT IS A THROWAWAY SOCIETY

BECOMING A THROWAWAY SOCIETY We throw away products that function, or can be reused.

BECOMING A THROWAWAY SOCIETY Also, newer and better products are made just as fast as we purchase them.

WHAT WE THROW AWAY Every American citizen throws away 4.5 pounds of trash every year.

WHAT WE THROW AWAY 140 million cell phones are put into landfills every year.

WHAT WE THROW AWAY 165 billion dollars worth of food is thrown away every year in the U.S. alone.

WHAT WE THROW AWAY 32.7 billion aluminum cans are thrown away

WHAT WE THROW AWAY 35 billion plastic bottles

OTHER FACTS 2.5 million plastic bottles are thrown away every hour

OTHER FACTS Enough garbage is thrown away everyday to fill up 63,000 garbage trucks

HOW WE CAN IMPROVE OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT We can monitor how much waste we produce by recycling items that can be reused.
