The Joy of Being a Christian Acts 8:35-39  “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say rejoice!” (Phil. 4:4)‏  “Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord” (Phil. 3:1)‏  For the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” (Rom. 14:17)‏

A Christian is Justified “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God” (Rom. 5:1,2)‏ What does it mean to be Justified?

The Christian & Purpose of Life “And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance, and perseverance, character, and character, hope” (Rom. 5:3,4) ‏ “…lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven” (Matt. 6:20) ‏ “…the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God” (Gal. 2:20)‏

The Christian & Purpose of Life “…I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound.” (Phil. 4:11)‏ “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain…having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.”(Phil. 1:21-24)‏

The Christian’s Assurance “Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. (1 John 2:3,4)‏ “And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God” (1 John 3:19-21)‏
