School Improvement Planning

Transition Year DPI developing an online SIP tool with SERVE ABSS will use the upcoming year to focus on 21 st century students in our School Improvement Plans.

Cycle Use the conventional template Focus on areas of concern where subgroups did not meet targets for AYP Align your plan with NC State Board of Education Goals and ABSS Mission and Priorities Incorporate Safe Schools and Health Schools Plans Merge plans (Title I, etc.)

NC State Board of Education Goals NC public schools will produce globally competitive students. NC public schools will be led by 21st Century professionals. NC public school students will be healthy and responsible. Leadership will guide innovation in NC public schools. NC public schools will be governed and supported by 21st Century systems.

ABSS Mission Statement Providing engaging work for our students will enable the Alamance-Burlington School System to educate all students to meet high academic standards and become responsible citizens in a rapidly changing world.
