Support the teaching of English in an overseas school or university Plan activities and produce resources to help students improve their English Introduce UK contemporary culture through classroom and extra-curricular activities Support the running of international projects and activities

French Speaking Countries B1 level French France - c.1000 posts available - 1 October – 30 April - 12 hours per week - €880 per month net (more in Outre-mer) - Aged 35 or under Belgium - c.7 posts available - 1 October – 31 May - 12 hours per week - €870 per month net - Aged 30 or under

How much does it cost? You get paid – there is no programme fee. You’ll always need to cover: -Travel Insurance -Medical Insurance -Police check (£60) In most countries you’ll need to cover: -Accommodation -Travel costs -Visa -Vaccinations

How do I apply? Online application procedure University/employer reference CV required for some applicants Deadline is 28 February 2017 for all countries Check internal university deadlines – likely to be earlier

Preferences Preferences are for regions, not specific cities/areas Remember that many posts are in smaller towns Think carefully about your preferences: research each area and provide good reasons Allocation to preferences is not guaranteed – you must be prepared to accept a post wherever you are allocated

Points to remember Remember this is a job application Countries requiring assessment/interview should be selected as your first choice Please tell us about any additional requirements (disability, medical factors, dependents, etc.) at the point of application

When will I hear back? 2. End April Confirmation that application has been accepted by British Council 3. End May / Start June - Confirmation that application has been accepted by overseas partners - Regional allocation details from British Council 1. March - April Invitation to assessment/interview for shortlisted candidates (if applicable) 4. June - September School allocation details from overseas partners
