Ralph Gibson
His photographs have been shown in more than 150 institutions - including New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Australian National Gallery - during his 50-year career and are shot exclusively on film, using a Leica 35mm camera
Gibson focuses on architecture and the human form, and is well known for his embrace of the abstract.
He was born: January 16th, 1939, Los Angeles, California He received many Awards over the years. Awards in 1973, 1975, 1977, 1985, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1991, 1994, 1997, 1999, 2002, 2007 and 2011. He also received the “C.A.P.S.”, “National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship” and the “150 Years of Photography awards!”
