BARKTOBERFEST 2011 REUSABLE PET ITEM COLLECTION TO BENEFIT THE FRISCO HUMANE SOCIETY

WE COLLECTED SO MANY PET DONATIONS THIS YEAR! We will be able to help even more animals than last year because of your generosity.

PET BEDDING We collected hundreds of pet beds, pillows and towels! This is important, because many homeless animals are sick, and need warm beds to sleep in during the winter!

TRAINING PADS These will help foster families with young animals like puppies that have not been housetrained yet!

COLLARS AND LEASHES We collected more than we could count! These will help foster families with animals that received no training as puppies!

CAT LITTER BOXES Foster cats will be able to have their own litter box and fresh, clean litter because of your donations!

LOOK AT ALL OF THE TOYS! We collected so many fun dog and cat toys! Many foster animals come to their families abused, sick and with a bleak outlook on life. These animals will now be able to play and be happy!

FOOD AND WATER BOWLS More than 50 food and water bowls were collected during our drive this year!

DOGGY OUTFITS You might not think that dogs like to wear clothes like us, but some Chihuahuas get very excited to put on their winter sweaters! These clothes will help small, thin dogs stay warm during the cold winter.

CAT TREE We had one large cat tree donated that can help a house full of several foster cats climb, play and enjoy being indoors!

FLEA/MANGE SHAMPOO AND ALL-NATURAL CLEANING SUPPLIES These donations will help foster families clean animals that have been sick and living outside. Something as simple as a treated bath can save lives!

PET CARRIERS These will help foster families transport their animals for necessary veterinary care and to the weekly adoption center located at PetSmart near Stonebriar Mall almost every Saturday! If you would like to adopt a new pet, visit the Frisco Humane Society.

Just look at all of the stuff the Frisco Humane Society can use now because we worked together!

I don’t know how we were able to get it all back in the storage unit after we sorted it!!!

FRISCO HUMANE SOCIETY FOSTER FAMILIES VISIT Many foster “parents” stopped by on Sunday to pick up some of the supplies we donated to help their animals. These families need all of the help they can get because they give so many animals a temporary home until they find a permanent adoption.

“BOOTS” WAS RUNNING AROUND WITH ALL THE EXCITEMENT! One foster “parent” brought her newest rescue, Boots, who is a German Shepherd mix. Boots could smell all the donated food and treats and went straight for them!

BOOTS’ FOSTER MOM, KELLI, GAVE BOOTS A TOY! Boots could barely stand the excitement as she was jumping all around trying to get to all the toys and treats.

KELLI CAN BARELY RESTRAIN BOOTS FROM EATING ALL THE DOG TREATS

EVERYONE FILLED THEIR CARS FULL! The excitement was truly palpable, as the foster families said this was the most donated items they had to choose from in a long time.

The Frisco Humane Society would like to thank every single family that donated reusable pet items to support their foster animals. If your family is interested in adding another furry family member, come meet some of our foster “parents” and their wonderful animals at PetSmart in Frisco (near Gaylord and Warren at Stonebriar Mall) almost every Saturday!
