Leader: We pray for ourselves and for the whole people of God. Give us all the grace, in our own college and throughout the world to be a light of truth, justice and love. We ask you merciful Lord All: Hear our Prayer

L: A moment of silent prayer

Mrs Gittins had a strong devotion to Our Lady. Let us now join our prayers spoken and unspoken with those of Mary our mother as we say... HAIL MARY.....

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Let us pray L: Lord God, you are compassion and love; Our loved one, Kath, has been called home to you. Welcome her into the love of heaven; console us in our loss and make us truly grateful for all she was to us in life. Fill our college now empty by her loss with your love and care. Through Christ our Lord. All: Amen

L: Eternal Rest grant unto her, O Lord, All:and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen

L: The fever of life is over for Kath and she finds her rest in the merciful arms of God, so let us say our prayer for the end of day. All:O Lord, support us all the day long, until the shadows lengthen and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, the fever of life is over and our work is done. Then Lord in your Mercy, give us a safe lodging, a holy rest and peace at the last. Amen (Blessed Henry Newman’s Prayer for a Holy Rest)

Let us gently sing L: May the choirs of angels come to greet her. May they speed her to paradise. May the Lord enfold her in his mercy. May she find eternal life. All:May the choirs of angels come to greet her. May they speed her to paradise. May the Lord enfold her in his mercy. May she find eternal life. (Repeat)

Thank you Please stay seated until you are asked to leave
