Introduction Neuron-biological disorder Usually inherited, can also be caused by various problems such as: difficulties with pregnancy, birth, early childhood severe illness, and environmental toxins Affects about 3-5% of the world's population. Estimated 4.4 million youth ages 4-17 diagnosed with ADD Twice as common in boys

Symptoms Most common symptoms: Impulsiveness: Doesn’t think things through. Hyperactivity: Unable to sit still Inattention: Daydreamer Rare cases will also suffer from Anxiety and Bipolar disorders

Symptoms start to appear at an early age, and often effect most areas of a child’s life Symptoms can persist over time, often into adulthood The symptoms often change as children grow and develop into adults ADHD is often inherited
