POWER ENGINEERING BRIGADE Power engineering does capital repairs and medium repairs of high speed rotary equipments Main activities of PEB :- Capital repair of Boiler, turbo machine Major breakdown Balancing of rotary machine

OPERATION GARAGE It is a service department The department’s services are carried through various various material handling earth moving equipments & transport vehicles. Most of its services are carried round the clock Any delay in availability of these equipments will cause setbacks in production

CENTRAL BASE REPAIR SHOP It is also a service department where major repair needs of mobile equipments working in different maintenance/ operation activities of the plant It undertakes maintenance repair of engines and sub assembly of mobile equipments of plant CBRS is doing major over hauling of cummin engine and controls group equipments

ROLL GRINDING & BEARING SHOP THIS SHOP MAINLY PERFORMS Supply and maintains the rolls of various mills to grind them as per the required norms Finishing and crowning is done to ensure maximum life of the rolls to assemble, disassemble,inspect, maintain various types of chocks, roll neck bearings

CONCLUSION During the schedule of six weeks of training at STEEL AUTHORITY OF INDIA LIMITED I had the opportunity to carefully asses my skills and aptitude for mechanical engineering and also a unique temperament an engineer needs to have to continue working in public sector I also want to mention that training in a PSU has its own experience having learning atmosphere
