What is OMA? The Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) is a standards body which develops open standards for the mobile phone industry. OMA creates application level specifications for Presence Service. This includes Presence Information semantics and guidelines for presence applications. These specifications shall be agnostic to the underlying network technology, be it specified by 3GPP, 3GPP2, or other organizations.
