History  A kingdom founded 3150 BC by King Menes, leading to a series of dynasties that ruled Egypt for the next three millennia.

Geography  Egypt is on the Northeast corner of Africa on the Mediterranean Sea.  Bordered on the west by Libya, south by Sudan and east by the Red Sea and Israel.

Facts  Population- 80,721,874 people.  5 million Facebook users.  1 inch of rain falls per year.  Tourism compromises 12% of the work force.  Literacy- 83% Male, 59.4% Female.  Currency- Egyptian Pound  Climate- Desert (Hot May to October, cool October to May)  Government- Republic

Agriculture  Cotton, rice, wheat, corn, sugarcane, sugar beets, onions and beans are the principal crops.
