* King of the gods, weather, men and judgment * Patron of: Rulers and Judges * Symbols: lightening bolt, oak leaf * Animals: ox and eagle * Family Relations: Hera (wife and sister), brother of Poseidon and Hades * Characteristics: was not omnipotent and omniscient, unfaithful * Facts: overthrew his Titan father, Cronus; had many children by many different women;

* Lord of water, horses, and earthquakes * Patron of: sailors and fishermen * Symbols: trident * Animals: horses and dolphins * Family Relations: brother to Zeus and Hades * Characteristics: easily angered; second in power only to Zeus; * Facts: gave humans the first horse; palace under the sea; could shake and shatter what he wanted to with his trident;

* Lord of the dead, earth and treasures * Patron of: dying, miners, and wealth * Symbols: jewels/metals, black, bident, cypress tree * Animals: Cerberus * Family Relations: brother to Zeus and Poseidon; married to Persephone (human) whom he stole; * Characteristics: no evil, but just; * Facts: not death himself; had a helmet that made the wearer invisible; rarely left the underworld (was not welcome in other places)
