EFL PERMIT VALID FOR 1 YEAR RENEWABLE ANNUALLY ON APPLICATION TEACHERS & PRIVATE / HOME TUITION PROVIDERS MUST POSSESS: EFL PERMIT VALID FOR NOT MORE THAN 5 YEARS EFL PERMIT RENEWABLE UPON HOLDER: HAVING CARRIED OUT PROGRAMME OF CONTINUAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN ELT TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE MONITORING BOARD POSSESSING POLICE GOOD CONDUCT CERTIFICATE

TEACHER TRAINERS TEACHER TRAINER MUST POSSESS: INTERNATIONAL POST-GRADUATE DIPLOMA (DELTA or Dip.TESOL) OR HIGHER RECOGNISED QUALIFICATION IN TEFL PLUS MINIMUM 1000 ELT HOURS OR INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATE IN TEFL (CELTA or Cert.TESOL) PLUS CERTIFICATE IN TRAINING UPON SATISFYING THE REQUIREMENTS FOLLOWING A TEACHER TRAINING COURSE RECOGNISED BY MONITORING BOARD PLUS MINIMUM 2,000 ELT HOURS

ACCREDITATION AND ACCREDITED CERTIFICATION ACCREDITATION (BASE LEVEL) SCHOOLS SHALL SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF A QUALITY ASSURANCE SCHEME AT ALL TIMES TO BE LICENCED ACCREDITED CERTIFICATION SCHOOLS SATISFYING FURTHER REQUIREMENTS MAY HAVE THEIR COURSES RECOGNISED AT A SECTORAL QUALIFICATION LEVEL OF MALTA QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK WITH TUITION LEVELS CONFORMING WITH THE EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK TUITION LEVEL
