We will be starting to investigate careers that you may be interested in. I would like each of you to choose three careers that interest you and research them. The following items must be included in your research.  What are the careers you are investigating?  What is the average salary for those careers?  What type of schooling do you need to enter your careers?  Where can you get the schooling for your careers?  Beginning now, make a timeline of the actions you must make to enter your careers.  Choose one influential person in your career choices that have had success and explain their story. ◦ How did they become successful? ◦ What do they do? ◦ Where did they get started?  Why did you choose these careers?

Typical Chef Salaries:  Lowest Salaries $22,120  Average Salaries $38,770  Highest Salaries $66,680 Chef Salaries by Industry:  Restaurants $39,930  Travel Accommodations $49,000  Special Food Services $43,600  Recreation Industries $50,720

 The average salary for homicide detective jobs is $77,000. Average homicide detective salaries can vary greatly due to company, location, industry, experience and benefits.

 In order to become a homicide detective, you have to get your GED, earn a college degree in criminal justice or any other related field. You have to attend law enforcement academy and become a police officer, working your way up to being a detective.

 To become a chef you have to first receive your high school diploma. Then you may attend any culinary arts school or program you please.
