“The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in His name to all nations” Verses Christian hope is a CERTAINTY – a confident expectation “God will also declare us to be righteous if we believe in God, who brought Jesus our Lord back from the dead. He was handed over to die because of our sins, and He was raised from the dead to make us right with God” Romans 4:24 (NLT) “if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost” 1 Cor 15:17-18

His resurrection also offers a life lived in relationship with Him

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD” Jeremiah 17:7 “Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will rest in hope” Psalm 16:9 “Be of good courage, and He will strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD” Psalm 31:24 “I will wait on the LORD... and I will hope in Him” Isaiah 8:17 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” Jeremiah 29:11

Hope is faith facing the future – a confident expectation of faith

Our hope of His return and our resurrection is based SOLELY on Christ “By His great mercy He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you” 1 Peter 1:3-4
