CATIA V5 CAD 실습 ( using CATIA V5 ) Lecturer: Song Xue-Guan Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dong-A University

1. What’s CAD? Computer-aided design (CAD): also known as computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), is the use of computer technology for the process of design and design-documentation. Current computer-aided design software packages range from 2D vector-based drafting systems to 3D solid and surface modellers. Modern CAD packages can also frequently allow rotations in three dimensions, allowing viewing of a designed object from any desired angle, even from the inside looking out. 2-D CAD 3-D CAD

CA’X’ system : 1. CAD 2. CAE (Computer-aided engineering) CAE means a set of techniques that allow the assessment of aspects of a product generally designed by CAD. 3. CAM (Computer-aided manufacturing) Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) is the use of computer software to control machine tools and related machinery in the manufacturing of workpieces. 2. Other CA’X’s CADCAECAM

Course Introduction 교과목번호 (course number) 교과목명 (course title) 학점 / 시간 (credit/hour) 책임학부 ( 과 ) (department) 64P137CAD Practice2/4Mechanical Engineering 교수학습목표 (course objective) The main objective of this course is for you to learn how to use CATIA as a design tool to build parts and assemblies, and how to create drawings of those parts and assemblies; Students will learn the basic capabilities in CATIA V5 to generate 3D models. This course focuses on the fundamental skills and concepts that enable students to create a solid foundation for their designs and drawing. 교재 및 참고문헌 (course texts) Textbook: 1.
