BRUSSELS BOMBING: TERROR AND ITS EFFECTS Laura Shaw

BRUSSELS March 22, 2016 three explosions happened in Brussels, Belgium: two at the airport and one at a subway station. 30 people killed and 230 more wounded Brussels was chosen as a target not only because it is the capitol Belgium and of the European Union it is also NATOs home. ISIS released a message saying they were responsible for this attack.

PARIS November 13-14, 2015 there was a suicide bomb that exploded at the soccer stadium and then two more suicide bombers detonated their vests in the Bataclan concert hall. 129 were killed and 352 wounded This attack was the worst that Europe has seen in 11 years. ISIS claimed responsibility for this attack as well.

SEPTEMBER 11TH The worst terrorist attack in the history of the United States. 19 al Qaeda terrorists hijacked 4 planes, filled with people and crashed two of them into the Twin Towers, one into the Pentagon, and one crashed in a field near Shanksville, PA. 2,977 people were killed: at the World Trade Center; 184 at the Pentagon; and 40 in PA. As of September 2015, 1,640 of the people who died at the World Trade Center have been positively identified, leaving 1,113 unknown victims.
