As you know, mental and emotional health hold extreme importance in our society. Not only in the general sense, but each and every one of us have been in some way affected by this. Even if it is not a personal problem, it could even be the person that you’d least expect who suffers from a mental health issue. The significance of mental health

©Urbanheard2015 A little about Myself Hi my name is Christian. I have suffered from sorts of sadness, not saying its depression. I have never been told by a doctor but you could call it depression if you really want to, but it stopped me doing things I loved to do. All I wanted to to do is be away from life, away from everything and due to help of friends and others, I have got through it and now I have been given the opportunity to help other people, So thank you to Urban Heard the NHS and Barnardos.

©Urbanheard2015 A different perspective Hi, my name is Lena and whilst I have never suffered from a mental/emotional health issue, I have been supporting a dear friend for approximately four years. She has been diagnosed with social anxiety and depression and shares a lot of how this affects her with me in search of support. As a result of this, I understand how issues like this can affect the people who suffer from them, but also the people close to them in a negative way. I understand having the constant underlying worry that something terrible could happen when you’re not there. That is why this service is so important to me, as it gives help to those who truly need it and their family who love them dearly.

Hi, my name is Georgia. I am here to talk to you about what solar means to me. Solar is a mental health service that provides help for people aged from I, myself have had counselling as I have been through many personal experiences. If Solar was made when I needed it I would have had been in a much better situation than what I am now as they would of helped me in many different ways. I believe that now I have been made aware of Solar, I can now inform others experiencing related issues and put them in the right direction to seek help. Without Solar there would be people alone, scared and anxious. ©Urbanheard2015

Hello my name is Ellie. Today I am here to talk to you about what solar means to me. I have had problems in my past, you may not be able to say it is a mental health issue but you could categorize it under seeking help. If Solar was present before then I would have loved the opportunity to have got help from this service. Solar will mean a lot to me even if I don’t use the service myself because I will more than likely know of people who will probably need that helping hand from them. ©Urbanheard2015

So what solar means to us Solar is our next big idea and a ginormous step towards a brighter future; we all have mental health, we all suffer at one time or another. It takes something to set you off, something you cannot process if you ever feel like this (like everyone has). Its important to know everyone can help even some people you have never met before, and if you have felt like this and or still do. You may never get over it, and you may still struggle but things do get better, and even if you have never really had a problem just help out around and because people don’t realize the sheer intensity of this issue. That is why solar exists.
