Would you like your organisation’s promotion of walking, cycling, public transport and carsharing to be recognised at a national level? Is there a committed champion or team who deserve to be acknowledged for their work in sustainable travel? Tell us more!

Smarter Travel Awards 2016 Partners of the Smarter Travel Workplaces and Smarter Travel Campus programmes are invited to enter the annual Smarter Travel Awards Winners will be announced at an Awards Ceremony which will take place in November This year we’ll be running an all-Partner travel change survey in April to coincide with the National Census. This will give all our Partners quantitative results to use in entry forms. Partners will also earn bonus points towards awards for undertaking the survey, and achieving a representative response rate. To help achieve a representative response rate, Smarter Travel will hold prize draws for all survey respondents. If it's been a while since you looked at your Action Plan or survey, get in touch and we’ll help you get started again! us at or and your Facilitator will help get you on track. Partners can enter as many Categories as they wish. Entry is via a short application form, which you can access here.here. When is the Deadline for Entry? The deadline for entry into the Smarter Travel Awards is the 30 th September Workplaces can include any actions undertaken since the previous awards deadline in February 2015 to the entry deadline in September Campuses can include any actions undertaken since the previous awards deadline in February 2015 to the end of the 2015/2016 Academic term. Workplaces and Campuses can include mode split results from when they started working on their Travel Plan, including any results from before Our Smarter Travel Workplaces and Campus Facilitators are available to work with Partners on entries, so please get in touch for assistance.

A Picture Says a Thousand Words... Remember to take photos of actions and events over the coming months to support your entry. Up to 4 high quality JPEGs can be included with each entry. A collage of images, news clippings, graphs etc can also be included. Winning entries will be displayed at the Awards Ceremony, on the Smarter Travel website and in the Awards Report.

How are Entries judged? Entries will be judged by a panel of independent judges – which means that the Smarter Travel Workplaces and Smarter Travel Campus team can help you with your entries!
