September 23, 2009 What Type of Data Will Be Transferred and to Whom? Discipline Data –Verification spreadsheets transmitted to LOCALS * by October 8 B-11: Child Find Data –Verification spreadsheets transmitted to LOCALS * by October 8 Focused Monitoring –Student lists available to LOCALS for B-5: Educational Environments and B-9 & B-10: Disproportionality by October 8 *A composite file is also being sent to ISDs 2

September 23, 2009 How Does Verification Work? Student data is placed in ISD or Local workbooks CIMS-2 Coordinator logs in to the CIMS-2 System to view available files Files are downloaded for correction (if necessary) Corrected files are uploaded back to the CIMS-2 system Files are submitted to the MDE with correction or assurance of accuracy If verification is taking place at the LOCAL level, the ISD will have access to summary sheet of local data for technical assistance purposes 3
