DUBAI TELUGU RADIO, is collaborating with the renowed Playback Singer and Music director Mr. Parthu winner of 1 st Padutha Theeyaga conducted by Sri S P Bala Subrhamanyam on ETV. Dubai Telugu Radio, the first and favorite online radio of Gulf Telugu Community is coming up with an exciting music singing talent show “Gulf Telugu Idol”. This mega music competition is an excellent opportunity for the aspiring Telugu singers of gulf countries to showcase their singing talent. Dubai Telugu Radio is making all efforts not only to provide a platform for the talented singers But also to create professional opportunities for the winners of the competition.

As Dubai Telugu Radio is making a strong impact Middle east, it’s time for Gulf Telugu People to claim its space in the realm of Gulf Telugu Music & Telugu upcoming singers to occupy centre stage. It’s time to put our hands together to welcome Gulf Telugu Idol. Dubai Telugu radio, an acronym for Gulf Telugu Idol Awards, is a one-of-its-kind endeavor to present Gulf Telugu Idol on a middle east platform. Dubai Telugu radio promises that GTI is an event that Music lovers across the middle east would sit up and watch with bated breath. For the first time ever in the history that Gulf Telugu Idol Awards are being presented on a middle east platform and hosted overseas.

Our channel partners are MAA/Gemini Network. The program will be telecasted soon after the live event on all the channels of the network. Gulf Telugu Idol Finals night, scheduled on 19 th October, 2012 in Dubai. It is a celebration to honor the Winners of GTI and in addition to bring music lovers and their favorite singers closer. Music lovers, supporters, fraternity and admirers from all over the Gulf will come together to celebrate GTI finals & Dubai Telugu Radio Launching while millions across the globe will witness history being made on their television screens.

A true celebration of excellence from Dubai Telugu Radio, the Gulf Telugu Idol Awards 2012 in DUBAI on 19th October 2012 is going to be larger than life spectacle; a glorious representation of its legacy. GTI has become the most awaited event in the Middle east Telugu community. The night will be remembered as every one looked on with pride and admiration at the golden twisted award was presented to the deserving winners. With a slew of performances by the biggest names in Tollywood, the GTI Awards is an extravagant gala of excitement and entertainment.

COMPETITION FORMAT  Competition Held in 3 categories :  Little champs: 6-12  Juniors:  Seniors  Initial rounds of competition will be conducted through a vigorous, multi-stage online process  Semi finals will be conducted in Abu Dhabi which will be a live event  Finals will be conducted in Dubai which will be a Grand live Event.

 Participants are required submit a YouTube link for their song. An audio clipping is also allowed, however a YouTube link is preferred.  The singers will be judged on the basis of their Truth, Lay and Diction  Karaoke tracks should NOT be used for recording. Only Tambura or some form of Shruti can be used. Selection Process:1 st Round

Selection Process: 2 nd Round Participants have to submit one song with Karaoke track (not exceeding 3-4 min) The judges will audition the 2nd round entries using the same criteria as the first round. The judges will also assess the ability of the singer to perform with the music track and importance will be given to expression, complexity of the song and the ease with which the singer is rendered.

The top 4 participants of each Gulf country in each category will be selected for Semifinals. Semifinals will be held at Live event in Abu Dhabi i.e. 18 th Oct 2012 * Eight to Ten participants will be selected finals. finals will be held at a Grand Live event in DUBAI i.e. 19 th of Oct 2012 Semi Finals & Finals

First prize winner in every category will be give GULF TELUGU IDOL title The top two winners apart from getting prizes will also get an opportunity to perform professional playback singers of Tollywood at the Dubai Telugu Radio launching event. Dubai Telugu Radio with all intention to create a professional singing opportunity for the winners is making all efforts to release an audio album and release it throughout the world through online music stores.
