Presentation transcript:

 “it was for this very reason I came to this hour.”

 The WORK Christ did in His life and in his death to earn our SALVATION.

 Love  Justice

 His obedience for us  His suffering for us

 “He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.”

 “We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the L ORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. By oppression and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was punished.”

 “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death,” he said to them. “Stay here and keep watch.”

 “Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.”

 “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

 “It is finished!”

 “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!”

 The blood of Christ removed our guilt before God!

 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

 By the blood of Christ, our consciences are cleansed!

 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

 The blood of Christ gives us bold access to God in worship and prayer!

 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body

 The blood of Christ gives us the ability to conquer Satan who is the accuser of the brethren.

 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.

 The blood of Christ rescues us out of a sinful way of life!

 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
