The Missions Farming They worked very hard.

Padres taught Natives Skills BY Evan

They taught them how to do the art of blacksmithing, some of the things they made are axes, hoes, shovels, knives, and horseshoes. They also taught them to make better homes, clothing, tools, and Adobe bricks. Lastly they taught them to tan hides of horses to make saddles, and leather.

The Padres Taught Natives Skills and Crafts Spencer Ruff

When the Indians met the Padres they taught them how to weave wool and yarn. They also taught them to die the yarn, and put it on looms.

Sometimes artisans were brought in to teach fine art skills. They taught them how to draw beautiful wall paintings. They also taught them to make candles out of beeswax and tallow.

T he padres taught the natives to plant different kinds of plants. They also taught them to farm and garden.

TThe natives learned how to plow fields, from t he padres. The padres also taught them how to dig irrigation trenches.
