Background: Need for the Guide Little Bear New Mexico saw its largest and most destructive wildfires in 2011 and Las Conchas Whitewater-Baldy

Background Requests were brought to the New Mexico Forest and Watershed Health Coordinating Group & the New Mexico First ‘Fire and Water’ Town Hall Impacted communities asked for guida nce in finding assistance after wildfire.

Background Target audience #1 Community leaders and individuals in fire-affected areas Target audience #2 CWPP Core Teams and planners

Background Partners and volunteers contributed expertise, time and talent. Wildfire survivors critiqued draft. Online guide funded through USFS grant. Print version and outreach materials funded through USACE Silver Jackets grant. Thanks to our collaborators! afterwildfirenm.org
