As Believers In The Lord Jesus, We Are To Live Differently

We Are To Live Content In Our Calling

You Are Where You Are By God’s Assignment “Nevertheless, each one should retain the place in life that the Lord assigned to him and to which God has called him” (v. 17). “Each one should remain in the situation which he was in when God called him” (v. 20). “Brothers, each man, as responsible to God, should remain in the situation God called him to” (v. 24).

The Issue Is God—not Circumstances Matthew 6:33 “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Philippians 4:10-13, “I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you have been concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”
